I'm comparing Deep Winter and Deep Summer before replacing a few worn wardrobe basics. Both sound plausible in descriptions, which makes online examples confusing. The boldest colors often dominate my features, but some muted colors make me look tired. I suspect the difference is more subtle than a single favorite shirt. I want to compare similar colors at different saturation levels. Could soft navy against clear black show anything helpful? I can do the comparison in daylight with no makeup and keep the camera in the same place if I take photos. I would watch whether each shade makes my skin look even or patchy. I came across deep winter color palette while collecting references, although I still need to judge colors against my own face. I don't expect an online chart to decide my season by itself. What pair of fabrics would you try first? Because I'm buying tops, I care most about shades worn near my face. I can borrow fabrics first instead of ordering several new pieces. If you have compared these two palettes, I'd welcome specific examples and any mistakes that made your first impression unreliable.

I'm trying to make a small wardrobe easier to combine, and I keep coming back to autumn colors. I don't want to buy a whole palette based on a quiz result. Warm earthy shades look promising in the clothes I already own. That impression could be about personal taste rather than what suits my face, so I want to check it more carefully. I'd like to test one accent alongside two everyday neutrals first. There are olive, tan, and terracotta pieces I can borrow or try on. I can compare them in natural light before spending money, ideally with the colors next to my face rather than laid out on a screen. A useful color should fit my existing outfits as well as look good alone. While researching what is my color palette I found several labels, but I would prefer a small real-world test over memorizing every category. Which starting color tends to make a comparison clearer? I could record the fabric and lighting rather than rely on memory. The goal is a handful of pieces I will use repeatedly. A practical result matters more to me than a precise season name. How would you test an autumn direction with just a few borrowed garments, and what would make you reconsider it?
