But I could not understand that why you have not given me further invitation for your next festival or for any calssical music concert(s).

Ustad Muhmmad Ali musical background is connected with both his late father Ustad Latafat Hussein Khan and his uncle Ustad Mushtaq Hussein Khan. Hailing from the distinguished line of musicians representing both Rampur and Bhindi Bazaar gharana, his late father was highly regarded for his knowledge of rare raags. Both his late father and uncle were associated with the Indian film industry and together composed film soundtracks for over 150 films during the British Raj. These include – Sulatana, Bhagbaan, Milap, Pati patni, Industrial India, Aurat ka pyar and Mandhir.

Ustad Muhmmad Ali late uncle Ustad Mushtaq Hussein Khan was also the teacher of renowned music director Naushad Ali and his late brother Ustad Latafat Hussein Khan.

Ustad Latafat Hussein Khan’s students include Sabri Brothers, the late Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan, famous ghazal singer Farida Rahman and of course his son Ustad Muhmmad Ali.

Classical vocalist, Ustad Haji Latafat Hussain Khan passed away in 2005 at the age of (104). Hailing from a distinguished line of musicians representing both the Rampur and Bhindi Bazar gharanas, Latafat Hussain was highly regarded for his knowledge over rare raags. Prior to partition, he was associated with the Indian film industry as a music director, composing for a number of films in partnership with his elder brother, Ustad Mushtaq Hussain Khan, the teacher of renowned music director Naushad Ali. The maestro had been based in the UK for the past ten years and taken retirement from all musical activities. His final years were devoted to Islamic mysticism. Most notable amongst his disciples are the famous Qawwali group Sabri Brothers, the late Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan, son Ali Hafeez Khan and ghazal singer Farida Rahman.

Ustad Muhmmad Ali , whose specialities are Indian Classical Music, Qawwalis and Ghazals has toured the world; recieving outstanding audiences and reviews. He has recieved many awards from local mayors and asian arts societies in England, the Press Club of Pakistan, and Buy Kala Bombay; India.

He has also been performed on Zee TV, Sony TV Asia, ARY Digital, MATV as well as Sunrise Radio and All India Radio (Urdu Service, Delhi). worldwide bbc tv also bbc radio.
