This is exactly what the Aaj TV pointed out so superbly in their program ' Live with Talat ' yesterday at 10 pm. Hats off to Talat Hussain who has rightly pointed out how these very people, Rahim, Afgan and their ilk, shamelessly supported the worst kind of state terrorism while in power but
are now bewailing about the slight misbehavior, usual in democratic culture, applied to them in a befitting manner, but blown out of proportion by the media.

In fact this is only a trailer of what the people would like to see in recompense of the insulting brutality meted out to the civil society for 8 long years by some of the state functionaries whose duty it was to protect and serve them.

I've condemned these deplorable incidents earlier but today when I was reminded of another equally or perhaps more deplorable incident, I sincerely felt ashamed.

Thrashing of Dr. Riaz Ahmed, a Karachi University professor, by LEA personnel recently by no means a less important an issue, perhaps much more shamful and deplorable act. Much deplorable is the indifferent attitude of electronic media towards this highly disgraceful act.

It is disgusting to watch every TV screen in the country so repeatedly showing Dr. Arbab and Dr Sher Afgan
