Well said dear! Urdu, especially, the Persianized-one, is making a joke of our media communication. The words most commonly used on the media these days’khudkush’ and ‘khudkash’, which have opposite meaning in Persian are being used as though they have the same meaning, i.e., suicide, without any let or hindrance. For example; a statement appeared in the press,” Moulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the ‘nasal kushi’ of Muslims by America”. This was reported on a TV channel as ” The Moulana has condemned the ‘nasal kashi’ of Muslims by America”. What a joke! Why should the Moulana, of all, should condemn the ‘nasal-kashi’ of the Muslims.

Btw, can any body suggest any word for ‘Khud-kushi’ in our real national languages like Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto, etc.. In Hindi they call it ‘Aatam Hateya’. Why not use it in Urdu also which is actually Persianized Hindi?
