I just came back from an HDF development fundraiser where Prof. Adil Najam was the keynote speaker. He was great and very motivating. I thin he used the top picture here in his presentation as he made a case for people to contribute to development. It really was very very moving. They did not announce how much was raised but there were many many $1,000+ donations and even more than one that were more than $10,000. Thank you Dr. najam for your committment and turning it into action. Your talk was a great inspiration to al of us there.
Come on Ali…. This is not the time of remembering the bad words or bad things lets just talk about how we can help, how we can let our brothers n sisters in balochistan that we are with them. They are Paksitanis and nothing else.
My parents in Lahore have been collecting relief material and money with their neighbors and sending it to the lots of local groups that are actually doing very good work in Balochistan now.
I would urge everyone to do whatever they can. Does not matter who you give through, but please do what you can to help.
While All Things Pakistan has remained alive and online, it has been dormant since June 11, 2011 - when, on the blog's 5th anniversary, we decided that it was time to move on. We have been heartened by your messages and the fact that a steady traffic has continued to enjoy the archived content on ATP.
While the blog itself will remain dormant, we are now beginning to add occasional (but infrequent) new material by the original authors of the blog, mostly to archive what they may now publish elsewhere. We will also be updating older posts to make sure that new readers who stumble onto this site still find it useful.
We hope you will continue to find ATP a useful venue to reflect upon and express your Pakistaniat. - Editors
