While All Things Pakistan has remained alive and online, it has been dormant since June 11, 2011 - when, on the blog's 5th anniversary, we decided that it was time to move on. We have been heartened by your messages and the fact that a steady traffic has continued to enjoy the archived content on ATP. While the blog itself will remain dormant, we are now beginning to add occasional (but infrequent) new material by the original authors of the blog, mostly to archive what they may now publish elsewhere. We will also be updating older posts to make sure that new readers who stumble onto this site still find it useful.

General Hamid Gul, who was at the scene said on Geo that the bomb was hidden in sand and was a remote controlled device. He is an ex-ISI chief and I’d trust his judgement more than anyone else’s.
Here are the advantages reaped by Musharraf from this blast:
1) Gives him justification for imposing emergency and postponing elections
2) Villify CJP for the planned bar address that cost lives
3) Great timing on the eve of the SC decision on Friday.
Question: The lawyers’ movement is the biggest and most potent movement against Musharraf. Why would a suicide bomber attack them?
From hearing all those are commenting it seems like Pakistan was a Utopia and nothing bad has happened to Pakistan prior to Musharaf Coup.
It BB and Sharif are allowed to come back then full blown civil war will start. It will start in Sindh and spread to Baluchistan then NWFP and lastly punjab.

Musharaf should sit in back seat now by removing his uniform and should bring a civilain PM( elected) on front seat to drive car.
Only a legitimate and popular government can do actions which are needed to curb it. We should not chicken out and should fight back against such elements. If we loose there is a civil war at end of tunnel.
How does committing cold blooded suicide bombing murders makes these jihadis better than Musharaf and worthy of people’s vote? If anything it brings their true self out for everyone to see. Musharraf seems almost an angel in comparison.
