Having just completed the poll on who, amongst Pakistan’s recent leaders, did the most good to the country, the obvious followup is to do a second installment of the ATP Poll on “Who Did the Most Harm to Pakistan?”
We had conducted a poll on this question back in August 2009 and repeating the question now will give us a sense of whether our readership’s opinion on this question has shifted in this time.
Please focus on the negative actions these leaders were themselves responsible for, and not as much on things that might have been out of their own control.
The Question: Focusing primarily on what you consider ‘negative’ actions taken by them during their stint(s) in power, who, amongst the following, do you think did the most ‘harm’ to Pakistan?
We ask, as before, that you please respond to the question with the same care with which it has been structured. As we had done in our last poll, we have structured the question carefully to focus only the harm that these leaders might have caused (all leaders do bad things as well as good, some more and some less).
As in the last poll, the current leadership is not included (although we have been conducting separate polls grading them) and only those whose tenure is now behind us are included, from Ayub Khan onwards. As before, for Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif consider the combined impact of two stints they each had in power.
Do also please tell us which of their actions you think had the most harmful and lasting impacts on Pakistan’s well-being as a nation, and why.
Would be interesting to see what would be results if you take Zia out, since everyone agrees he was more evil than everyone else.

To straight the Record … .. Civil governments did nothing ..& this NOTHING is much much better than what the HELL these Military Establishments did to the Nation … in the form of :
1.USA hegemony ( friends not masters… remember dada ji )
2. Bangal operation cleanup.
3. One Unit to produce Hatred among autonomous Units !
4.Sold Three rivers of Punjab .
5.did Tashqand accord( 4get abt. Kashmir ..)
6. ENJOYING WWW & Breakup United Pakistan ( stupid argument that ZAB did that … if Allah forbid today Balochistan say Bye bye to us , will it becoz of Nawaz Shareef, HasilBaksh bazinjo, Ataullah Mengal , Rasool Baksh pelejo aur IMRAN KHAN … it will be just bcoz of PM, President & COAS coz they are on the responsible seats)
7.Surrender 90000 POW in complete Humiliation.
8. Abrogate Constitution like a piece of Paper.
9. EBDO to eliminate GENUINE POLITICIANS ( abb sari Qoum Ro rahi hai from where to find a REAL POLITICIAN )
10 BANNED Labor unions, Student unions to ELIMINATE any good Foundation for coming generation of Sincere Politicians.( BURIAL of Middle class Politics by PAK AFWAJ..SAY thanks to them )
11. CREATED 22 Influential families to RUN & Squeeze the nation……….
ZAB tried HARD to Drive on front Seat ..BUT got KILLED by same HUMILIATED 90000 POWs who got FREE bcoz of THAT KILLER ……………………………………..

No one did any good to pakistan but they tried best to do good for themselves and by hook or crook keep them in power,After partition India and Pakistan adopted same way of governance.Ayub Khan derailed Pakistan from it.After nine years a constitution adopted by assembly and nation was making preparation for first national election.people celebrated and declared pakistan republic.Ayub Khan grabed the power impose first Martial Law and desolve assembly ,abbrogated constitution.He shown Army the way towards power which still in power,its establishment rule the country through its dummies ,power craze politician etc.
i am no fan of mush but ns and bb have done far more damage to pakistan than him in my view.
whoever begged the world and collected their aid the most, hurt the most.
