We all know that there is a time and season for all of us yet when it happens to those we love we are never truly ready. It is said that we grieve for ourselves for the loss we feel in our lives because of the absence of someone who was such a big part of our becoming who we are.

We are not only the sum of our memories but of our experiences and thus because the roads we’ve each had to travel to get to the place where we are….we should never have regrets. We are who we are because of all of our experiences be they good or bad, happy or sad but necessary lessons for us to become who we are.

Adil Najam Saab, I so enjoy reading your articles as I am sure others who know you enjoy sitting and talking with you. You are a voice who calls out to our inner being and encourages self-analysis as to how we all interconnect with each other in this life. It is said that children are a reflection of their parents. If this is true then I believe your father as well must have had a positive influence on many.

May Allah reward your father and minimize the grief and pain that you and your family are experiencing. Your father has not gone but is merely entering a new phase of his life.

    Dear ATP friends.

Just wanted to write a short note of gratitude for all the prayers and good sentiments that you have shared here. The last few days have been a haze for me and my family. I am glad that I was able to join in my father

I have a book “day of the jackal” since 1992 on which is a warning printed in blue stamp ink: “This book is the property of Adil Najam, anyone borrowing or finding is requested to please return it to the owner, before the owner forgets of its existance.”

Have been an admirer for a long time. And offer my condolences her on passing of your father. May Allah forgive his sins and grant higher place in Jannah. I am sure he went a proud father.

Very sorry to hear about this Doctor Sahib. Living in Islamabad for nearly 25 years I have known of your achievements and I think I have also seen your parents a few times at various events. No one can have words that can ease the sadness of something like this. But the post is right in saying that it is part of our Pakistaniat to stand by each other in times of sorry.

Thank you for reminding us of our Pakistaniat always.
