I’ll let the photo do most of the talking. Just a brief introduction. These cars belonged to Fatima Jinnah and are now rotting at Sindh Archive offices in Clifton Karachi. Photo is taken from Trekearth.

i dont think the Sindh Archives inside the building are in any better condition than these cars outside.
but hey, what r these tincans doing here anyways, they should be dumped to a place like machhar colony nearby, atleast the poor kids there can drive their luxuries all day…
Restoration to door ki baat hai, inko move karna bhi impossible hai…
btw, what r they? the left one i think is a buick or a chrysler (from the logo), any ideas?
There was at least one beautifully restored car at the Mohatta Palace in Karachi when I last visited it (last year). Is it still there? Who did it belong to?
Looks like they have already been plundered for some of their smaller and more easily moveable parts. With enough resources and in the hands of an expert, they could be well restored, perhaps. It’s a shame they have been sitting outside however! That really complicates matters.
The nawab of Bahawalpur also had a collection of classic autos which I understand has met the same fate, locked up and rusting away while the numerous heirs squabble over the estate.
Not much anybody can do in such cases. Some see a metaphor for the condition of Pakistan in the picture. That should be enough to give everyone food for thought.
This what happens when something gets in hands of our bureaucracy. ppl revive their history we ruin them! shame on all of us. hence inferred that this is what we do with our leaders once they become priceless.
Owais can i post this on KMB ?
It so sad that our ministers are busy plundering us with Mercedes & such a valuable asset is in shambles.
Perfect depiction of the state of affairs in Pakistan.
wat a pitty! i wonder when will be able to realise the worth of things, be they material or living.
ohh such pretty machines and a devastating waste … :-(
Fatima Jinnah’s cars and Mr Jinnah’s Pakistan are both in the same state !!!!!
