It has always been a regret of mine that I have never been a passanger on a motorcycle. When I was in Pakistan, the only person I knew who owned a Kawasaki was my cousin, Mohsin. Mohsin Bahi would die rather then be seen in public with his younger female cousin on the back seat.
Having married a man who, on our honey moon, made me sit on all the Disney rides by my lonely self saying “someone has to take a photo of you when you ride down the Splash mountain” I doubt that he’ll be accompanying me on a Harley anytime soon.

Reminds me of the Alamgir song, “Hum chaley to humarey sung sung nazaarey challey..”
With the crude oil price soaring, we could see more of such scenes.
Great picture. They might be on way to an event or a cricket game to be played. Or may be on way to work (the roads are deserted) as the two cyclists on either side of the motorcycle have some bags which may be their lunches.
Requiring a motorcyclist to take 3 cyclists in a tow would require friendship for sure.
This picture says so much about our approach to friendship; come what may, a friend takes the priority no matter if it is unsafe. And then we also want the same approach in our international relationships when we use the word friendship to describe our relations with others. When ‘friends’ do it their way we are frustrated.
I don’t think that it is necessarily the friendship factor here.
I have seen cyclists in Pakistan holding on to trucks and buses. I doubt that in that case the cyclists were friends of the driver.
But I do envy the creativity factor in this. Of course there is the safety concern, but as long as they are being cautious, it is all good.
And how about this road show from Peshawar:
