I don’t understand. Are you saying suicide bombing of totally innocent lawyers and political workers (most against Musharaf) is justified just because Musharaf is in power? Exactly which shariat do you and these jihadis subscribe to that allows that? If anything, this justifies Musharaf’s efforts to rid our society of deobandi backed jihadis like lal masjid and talibans.

Here are my comments which I wrote to one of my friends in Islamabad who first gave me the news of the blast::::

Pakistan is heading toward another martial law. Situation has gone out of Musharraf’s hands and it seems impossible that he would be able to get so many problems under control. The radicals would continue to pose a continuous threat to this regime as well as to any other that may follow it. Pakistan is doomed !

Well the bigest problem today is Musharaf uniform. Because of his uniform he dont have legitimacy to do after these extremist.

I think he should atleast announce to leave his uniform and should bring BB as “security advisor” to create impression of national unity. Then we need NATO help to neutrilize the threat.

The said suicide bombing has occurred right underneath where my office is in F-8 Markaz. The blast was so powerful that it has broken all the balcony side windows of my office and has literally cracked the plaster and the blew the wooden doors from its locked bolts! The blast was potent because the wave front was in between two buildings or plazas which had lead to the Islamabad Courts. So far 20 people are reported dead and equal number injured. The culprit was diverted from the actual public entrance which was heavily guarded so he came to this spot from where the CJ was to enter into the stage area. Call it a soft opening of sorts where this maniac chose to blow himself up.

All I could say at this stage is that this lawyers rally should not have been allowed under the presence of credible threat of suicide bombing announced by the Government and now the onus of the carnage solely rests on the seemingly careless backers of CJ, i.e PPP.

May the suicide bomber rot in hell for the innocent lives he has taken and may his followers be damned the same fate!

Not to forget, Ghazi did warn about this that suicide bombings will follow if he was harmed.
