the picture is pretty cool though- our near status of a Police state (that still cannot secure lives and peace).. Alas!
Absolutely, their presence here is quite necessary considering the sort of crowds we get at stadia these days, and our history with foreign guests.
Hopefully, most of these men won’t be shown picking there noses on live tele!
It’s a public event and it is the job of police to provide security. All I see is policemen doing their job.
I don’f fully understand why the earlier commentors are upset at this? Today when the Boston Red Sox played Cleveland Indians in Boston, more than 100 policemen were deployed to prevent hooliganism and threat of terrorism at major public events. At tomorrow’s game there will be more than 1000. Do we not need security at public places – esp when there are foreign citizens involved?
This is really ridiculous!
