Adam Insaan: Don’t be so dejected and disheartened. Every cloud has a silver lining. Better days are ahead of us. Pakistani nation is resilient one and like other crises it will go through this one as well. Have faith.
This is an interesting work – Tina describes it well; though the idea is a little “in your face”; and a wee-bit cliched!
However, given our current state of affairs, it strikes you ..
-The firm hired by Pakistan, for creating a “better image “,
exterospectively,
HAS announced that it inspite of being paid 1 or 2 mill. US dollars, it has withdrawn, REJECTED to `lobby` for Pakistan!

Zulifkar Ali Bhutto is attributed to have said that when no one was with me, Khar was with me. Now that I am in power, you want me to get rid of Khar? He never learned. Arguably, the 1977 election dispute was over seven seats, but ZAB stuck with his lotas (sycophants) and lost it all.
Pakistani system is not unique in the world for lotas . Other systems call them assistants or aides or long time associates.
Pakistani system has too much power that attracts lotas and less than worthy characters who will leave no stone unturned to any bidding, legal or illegal. And with no legal entry or exit point, our good men self-immolate right before our eyes.
Ayub, Yayha, ZAB, Zia and now Musharraf were all good men when they came in through illegal means but wanted to good for the nation. And they did good in their early days. Then the power swept them away with the whispers of lotas.
We need a retirement plan in PK, so that good men can leave without assistance. I really believed that Musharraf would set a new standard and leave.
While All Things Pakistan has remained alive and online, it has been dormant since June 11, 2011 - when, on the blog's 5th anniversary, we decided that it was time to move on. We have been heartened by your messages and the fact that a steady traffic has continued to enjoy the archived content on ATP.
While the blog itself will remain dormant, we are now beginning to add occasional (but infrequent) new material by the original authors of the blog, mostly to archive what they may now publish elsewhere. We will also be updating older posts to make sure that new readers who stumble onto this site still find it useful.
We hope you will continue to find ATP a useful venue to reflect upon and express your Pakistaniat. - Editors
