I want to express my great sadness on hearing of the death of this great icon of Pakistani television. Shafi Mohammad Shah was one of the most natural, powerful and versatile actors ever to grace television and films. He had a unique screen presence and an inimitable voice and style of dialogue delivery. To fans of Pakistani dramas he was like a family member. Somebody who was a regular fixture in their lives of two or more decades. In real life, he demonstrated humility and compassion as witnessed by his numerous interviews and the testmonies of his grief-stricken friends. It is no exageration that one feels his loss very personally. May Allah grant him a place in Paradise and may his soul forever rest in peace. His work will live foreover in our minds and hearts, and his voice will always resound in our ears. Long Live Shafi Mohammad!
