From all of us at ATP we congratulate the nearly 2.5 million Muslims who performed Hajj this year, including 125,000 Pakistanis, and also wish fond Eid-u-Azha greetings to all of you.
This is the fifth such post we have written since ATP began (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009). The words and symbolism of these posts are the same each year. But even behind the same old words, the sentiment is renewed and refreshed each Eid. And so it is this year too.

Saw this picture in Daily Times and actually laughed out loud. How much more Pakistani could a bakra be, than riding on a rickshaw with its head sticking out.
Not sure what the title of the picture should be. Maybe you can help.

Few days ago we asked our readers to take a guess on number of Railway Stations in Pakistan. As far as my own personal research shows, the correct number is 1212 (possibly a few more) and my compilation of the complete index of stations is given below.

Some readers did guess the correct range, but as we had expected, most underestimated the number. I might have done so myself had I not already done the research. The list of stations is interesting to view, if only because you would read so many place names that you might never have heard of. I hope it will also make us think about the wonder that was the railway system in Pakistan at one time, but is no more.
