Darwaish

I was watching the dramatic developments regarding Chief Justice of Pakistan’s case on GEO news today and wondering how much more we have to see after seeing police misbehaving with Chief Justice and his family.

Little did I know what was in store for me. During Kamran Khan’s show, Ansaar Abassi - investigative editor of The News, Islamabad - brought viewers attention to a shocking incident which happened during a live Voice of America ( VOA ) radio show interview (Round Table) yesterday (Listen by clicking audio symbol below)

Not surprisingly, it involves our Law Minister, Mr. Wasi Zafar. We have often read various reports about public displays of misbehaviors by Federal Minister for Law Wasi Zafar. But this is quite unbelievable.

Listen to the abusive language after the 34th minutes in particular. But also listen to the tone of the discussion of the entire interview in general. This, then, is our Federal Law Minister in action. Its worth hearing.

The Federal Minister said all this in response to a story by the investigative editor The News in which he wrote about the Law Minister’s “long arm of law.” Apparently he doesn’t know the difference between long arm and giving “a big hand.”

Listen to the clip and judge for yourself. I am just speechless!

ADDED 14 March: Here is the video clip of the report on this incident on GEO.

(Report on this in The News).

GEO left the TV screen black for 10 minutes in the Kamran Khan program. This is a throwback to the Zia days.

Geo’s show KAMRAN KHAN K SAATH was not aired tonight. On the other hand, police have arrested lots of political activists in LHR and ISB.

If you look at teh other story on Wasi Zafar at this website as lined in the story you will see that someone mentioned that Wasi Zafar is the brother of an ISI big wig general.

That is why no one has been able to touch him for so long.

I think we all including Sabahat, Saad and who so ever should stop arguing on things which are not much relevant. Wasi Zafar spoke dirty and no on is denying that. These guys (politicians)are like that and we all know this fact quite well.
What really breaks my heart is where are we all heading towards? do you think poor Ansar Abbasi is safe after talking like such on the media against this barbaric guy. This  Wasi Zafar who doesn’t have any respect and manners to talk on the live international media can do any thing to anybody who will try to resist or counter him.
When will the time come when these so called politicians (I don’t call them leaders anymore)change? When are we going to hear some good and positive news from our country? everyday you read newspapers and u come across things which are making happenings worse and worst.
    Why why why???

This story confirms about the completion of Brain Drain from Pakistan. All brains have migrated abroad, courtesy World Bank, IMF, UN and other greener pastures attracting the brains. Of late, even able bodies are being drained through human trafficking and smuggling. What is left is left to the devices available with Wasi type of rogues to deal.
