The photo is from Hala, Sindh and it is an advertisement banner for an educational institute called ‘Benazir English Learning Center’. I think the school management has carefully chosen the name to get free marketing points. The name ‘Benazir’ literally means ‘unique / one of a kind’. The banner is in Sindhi. I’ll translate its readable contents below.

The banner reads as follows:

Memon Foundation Grammar School
United Memon Party, Hala

BENAZIR ENGLISH LEARNING CENTER

After successful completion of ‘First Group’, admissions are now open in ‘Second Group’.

Girls and Boys are taught at separate times.

In this regard, we have acquired services of the “Award Holder” teacher, Maqbool Ahmed Memon, M.A, MEd.

Duration of Short Course is 4 months.

Classes will start on Wednesday – October 8, 2008.

New Timings for Girls: From 5 p.m. to 6: 30 p.m.
New Timings for Boys: From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

I don’t know if the name of Benazir is also related to learning English. Well, many Pakistani speak English better than any other Asian people. You should be proud of that.

Its all about branding. These days everything is named Benazir. Before that it was Quaid-i-Azam. Bhutto was popular when Benazir was alive. The lackey’s and toadies wanted to please her back then now they want to please scions of Benazir who have descended upon us and will be running the show unfortunately pretty soon. God save Pakistan from sycophants
