The headline screams out that more than 40 people are dead after a heartless and soulless suicide attack on a mosque in Rawalpindi. The story under it tells us that more than half of those butchered are children.

Numb. Enraged. Without words. One stares into space.

How many such headlines have we seen? How many more are we destined to see?

Carnage. Bloodshed. Callousness. Hatred.

These are not things that anyone with a modicum of humanity can become used to. Yet, the world passes us by. Its not even news for the rest of the world. They are too busy worrying about “their” Taliban, to care about what “our” Taliban are doing. In the crazy world that we have manufactured, not every death is created equal. And certainly not every life.

Once again, Pakistanis die. Once again, Pakistanis cry. Alone.

Once again, Pakistanis stare into the darkness of nothingness, looking for answers. There are few words of sympathy from those who claim to be our friends. There are only sneers and jeers from those who are our enemies.

Why, one asks, why? Why do they hate us so?

In this video interview one would-be suicide bomber speaks up. It is harrowing. Listen, if you will, to the voice of hatred. Listen, if you can, to what Pakistan’s enemy sounds like.

    This was the voice of ignorance and fanaticism, but not necessarily of hatred. He expressed hatred toward no one. What he showed was lack of sympathy and empathy with those defined as just targets by the zealots he follows. The best way to counter his “teachers” is to find and fix the conditions of life that render young people like him so vulnerable to zealots.

    The Taliban seem to take great joy in killing Muslims. They do so all the time in both Pakistan and Afghanistan. Have you noticed how they kill only Muslims in both countries!!!

    @Riaz Haq

    Who said ISI is one of the best intel agencies???
    Purpose of intel agencies is to gather proper intel..they are not judge best by counting the number bomb blasts or suicide attacks they are capable of..
    For your info..stratfor has termed IB(India) as the top 5 intel agencies in the world..Best intel agencies in the world are Israelis,MI6,FSB,Germans and French..

    Hakeemullah Mehsud is thought to have been whisked away to Afghanistan by his American protectors playing a double game with Pakistan – see http://sakibahmad.blogspot.com/2009/11/pakistans-p akistani-friends.html).

    The strategy being followed by Hakeemullah’s followers appears to be to avoid a head-on confrontation with the Pak Army and to adopt guerrilla tactics. His brainwashed followers are happily acting as walking bombs controlled by CIA agents and Blackwater/Xe Worldwide contractors to wreak havoc in Pakistan’s cities. The idea is to force the Pakistan Army up into North Waziristan and to fight America’s dirty war there, taking on the Afghan Taliban.

    The corrupt and foolhardy Pakistani elite continues living in cloud cuckoo land, proclaiming the Americans and Indians as their friends and protectors! Pakistan today is more weird than Alice’s Wonderland.

    Sunay’s recommendation is a breath of fresh air. Perhaps Siachen can be starting point for this “Fundostan” lol.

    I would like some journalism/info beyond just blasts and claims/blames for blasts. Where are these terrorists based right now that they are targeting Peshawar/northern cities ? The Taliban resistance in South Waziristan has been light and most seem to have run away……where did they run to ? Where is the Taliban supremo Hakeemullah Mehsud right now ?
