Dear Readers,
While All Things Pakistan has remained alive and online, it has been dormant since June 11, 2011 - when, on the blog's 5th anniversary, we decided that it was time to move on. We have been heartened by your messages and the fact that a steady traffic has continued to enjoy the archived content on ATP. While the blog itself will remain dormant, we are now beginning to add occasional (but infrequent) new material by the original authors of the blog, mostly to archive what they may now publish elsewhere. We will also be updating older posts to make sure that new readers who stumble onto this site still find it useful.
We hope you will continue to find ATP a useful venue to reflect upon and express your Pakistaniat. - Editors
Oh, Karachi campus looks like this :p I never though that hahaha… One thing I can’t understand, Malir is usually considered as the low-status area of the Karachi, why did they open that University in this area? If they were giving such a great name, they should have open it in some posh area, so people might think of being part of this University. Anyways, that’s CRAP!
East-West University Chicago is in existence since the early 80s, and my Uncle Dr. Wasiullah Khan is the chancellor who did his doctorate from Indiana University. He along with my other uncle & his associates had embarked on starting its campus in Karachi as well but it never got recognition from HEC so as a last resort they had it affiliated with Educators franchise and ran it as a college. Now they have no involvement in this venture as it didn’t prove to be a success. I don’t know if the karachi campus is still in operation or not but its not a property of my family anymore. I had visited its campus located on Shahra-e-Faisal few years back but didn’t find it conforming to any standards, sadly.
Is there any in Chicago???????
Sajjad,
I think what the sign implies is that this is the same East-West university that is in Chicago (which there is), and this is there Karachi campus/branch.
:)
East / West and then Chicago….

(forgive me , if this sounds indecent)
