Adil Najam

we can quibble all you want about whether his interpretation of the history of Pakistan is correct or not and what he has missed or added unnecessarily – and, no matter what our own interpretation may be, rest assured that there are many who would quibble with our interpretation too.

That is the nature of our history; and the nature of us.

But this telling of our history by a common Pakistani is worth a listen; if only because it forces us to look back at the same history ourselves. It is always important to get history right. But it is always more important to remain in conversation with one’s history. To learn what our pasts mean for our present and our futures; even as those lessons keep changing with time.

-This gentleman by his wordings evapourating from cavum oris is quite specific about important historical events at a glance.

Through the history of Pakistan to be something at the music , the “everyday-man” has never really been inclusive
in that that group amongst those whom are betitled “jet-set”.
The people running Pakistan ; be it the military, the Elitum Politarium , the Feudalalis-lords, or the Elite`um Moneytarium these groups have to look upon the “average-man/woman” as something else than
    “3´rd class – citizens”.
It`s about time that averageman like this gentleman are being elected into proper democratic institutions,
-otherwise the democracy is an illusion.
    A pacifi`er for the masses.
Did not a Caesarian man say ; ” Give them bread and circus”…
