Adil Najam

The waters continue to rise. And so does the death toll. The number for today is at least 417, and in all certainty more. That that is just for Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. All provinces and all parts of Pakistan are hit.

ATP will be sending all of its revenue to relief agencies working with the poor hit by these flood. We urge our readers to do the same.

More details on this calamity here; and a pictorial post of the misery it has brought, here.

First there wasn't enough water to even drink and now these floods. :(

On a lighter note, some people have initiated this thing where they are trying to get a Google Doodle on google.com.pk for the 14th of August. :)

I think we really need to support this!

Adil Najam, I fear that the number has already gone up. But I doubt if your readers or most Pakistanis care, because on this only (unlike the plane crash) only poor people suffer!

    Mrs. Aziz,

That is good deed. May allah give you reward for it.
Even though my family lives in Pakistan, I cant think of better non-profit organization then Edhi Foundation therefore, your question is pertinent one.

Is there a relief organization that can best respond to natural disasters in Pakistan.
