Adil Najam

Many of our readers might have seen this picture before in one of viral emails that go around. It is an obvious and perfect candidate for our “Photo of the Day” category. The board these two youngsters are posing with reads something like:

Standing here to get your photograph taken is not allowed. By orders of the chair lift administration. Those breaking this rule will handed over to the police and a Rs. 1000 fine will be imposed.

When you make stupid rules, people are bound to violate them. This is obviously a vacation spot, not a nuclear site. Why is then taking pictures probhibited here?

  2. Eidee Man says:

I think this is the least of our worries. It seems like the warning is intended to prevent people from taking pictures of OTHER people; these guys are obviously posing. Preventing people from taking their own pictures at a vacation spot hardly makes any sense.

No Sir it is inherent the idiocy of our illogical thought process that is the cause of this phenomenon.

For instance, you will find in the Pakiland a notice:

“Qible ki tarf moonh kar ke peshaab karna gunah he”

Does it not mean that it is the only act which is treated as a sin in this country?

Btw, dues east or west mean any thing when we have come to take the earth as a globe?

    Again, we see:

    “Yahaan peshaab karna manah he”

Does it mean that it is allowed everywhere else?

I took it seriously and once stood to piss on a wall in Murree where notice of this kind was missing. But there I found a bucket of cold water thrown on me from the window from the second floor above the moment I started pissing.

Now come to our Constitution. It says the citizens of Pakistan who believe in Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as prophet are not Muslims. Does it mean that all who believe in other prophets of whichever period or country are Muslims?

Incidentally it is the only part of the Constitution which stands intact even when the entire Islamic Consn. is abrogated off and on.

So on and so forth the absurdity of our thinking goes on and on.

    @ Anwar

Very well said….. that is sadly what we grow up with. finding loopholes within the system. In this case, however, its just against the laws… And whoever said they are having innocent fun in their younger years, should take a look at the picture again. From which angle do they look young to you?

When dear ol NS preaches general civil disobedience because the court ruled against him, why blame these guys.
