Darwaish

I was watching the dramatic developments regarding Chief Justice of Pakistan’s case on GEO news today and wondering how much more we have to see after seeing police misbehaving with Chief Justice and his family.

Little did I know what was in store for me. During Kamran Khan’s show, Ansaar Abassi - investigative editor of The News, Islamabad - brought viewers attention to a shocking incident which happened during a live Voice of America ( VOA ) radio show interview (Round Table) yesterday (Listen by clicking audio symbol below)

Not surprisingly, it involves our Law Minister, Mr. Wasi Zafar. We have often read various reports about public displays of misbehaviors by Federal Minister for Law Wasi Zafar. But this is quite unbelievable.

Listen to the abusive language after the 34th minutes in particular. But also listen to the tone of the discussion of the entire interview in general. This, then, is our Federal Law Minister in action. Its worth hearing.

The Federal Minister said all this in response to a story by the investigative editor The News in which he wrote about the Law Minister’s “long arm of law.” Apparently he doesn’t know the difference between long arm and giving “a big hand.”

Listen to the clip and judge for yourself. I am just speechless!

ADDED 14 March: Here is the video clip of the report on this incident on GEO.

(Report on this in The News).

I believe Shida Badmaash’s elder brother is a Fauji General! Is this true? If so how can anyone ever hold an inquiry against him!!

You remember the famous case of KPT Chairman Admiral Arshad where he siphoned off crores in his position as Chairman. The case was under investigation by a Director FIA who was ultimately summoned by the then President General Zia-Ul-Haq. The Director FIA carried the Admiral’s corruption file to Islamabad to present the fact findings to the President. Zia’s answer to this guy was simple, “Drop it and shred the file. There are so many other corruption cases to follow”. The matter was closed.

Admiral Arshad who like Zia had the same black mark on forehead ( as kids we were all told that these people go directly to jannat…Such deception!) and were part of the same religious cult and followers of same Pir or Murshid plus both were Generals of a corrupt institution.

CJ misbehave case’s inquiry has been completed today and report sent to SC. Lets see what happens. But I am wondering if any such inquiry was ordered against this sheeda badmaash? Sad to see that he is still a minister, Law Minister that is!

This whole episode seems to have disappeared out in teh blue.

Does anyone know what happened to the Law Minister. Was there any repercussions at al for Wasi Zafar? Will there ever be?

lol, I agree with Send Gifts to Pakistan. Wasi Zafar has a bright future in Punjabi films (even pushto if he learns to speak the language) once he dicides to retire from politics.

My question is however, if people like Wasi Zafar are not resigning or thrown out then why we are insisting so much on cricket captain and officials resignations? They have just lost a match.

His tone has significantly changed. Somebody must have twisted his arm for good.
