Darwaish

I was watching the dramatic developments regarding Chief Justice of Pakistan’s case on GEO news today and wondering how much more we have to see after seeing police misbehaving with Chief Justice and his family.

Little did I know what was in store for me. During Kamran Khan’s show, Ansaar Abassi - investigative editor of The News, Islamabad - brought viewers attention to a shocking incident which happened during a live Voice of America ( VOA ) radio show interview (Round Table) yesterday (Listen by clicking audio symbol below)

Not surprisingly, it involves our Law Minister, Mr. Wasi Zafar. We have often read various reports about public displays of misbehaviors by Federal Minister for Law Wasi Zafar. But this is quite unbelievable.

Listen to the abusive language after the 34th minutes in particular. But also listen to the tone of the discussion of the entire interview in general. This, then, is our Federal Law Minister in action. Its worth hearing.

The Federal Minister said all this in response to a story by the investigative editor The News in which he wrote about the Law Minister’s “long arm of law.” Apparently he doesn’t know the difference between long arm and giving “a big hand.”

Listen to the clip and judge for yourself. I am just speechless!

ADDED 14 March: Here is the video clip of the report on this incident on GEO.

(Report on this in The News).

what a shame ! the law minister has such a nice tone - to summarize it I would just say EVERYONE in politics in pakistan is equal - all of them who had there share to say something are involved in one thing or another…

Disturbing and despicable. The longer he stays in the office the more I am convinced of a unique chemistry between him and his handlers… There must be something behind the curtain that we do not know.

I have been mightily depressed these last few days on accounts of what’s going on in Pakistan; this just adds salt to the wound.

I heard the Law Minister on the VOA. His crime is his poor knowledge of the English language and use of vulgarity on the air. But he also explained that this whole issue is political in nature, from all sides. He is right on that. He used the phrase “political millage”. Unfortunately every one is trying to gain that longitude out of this incident. The hope is that the issue will have a snow ball effect, the government will fall and then replaced by new thieves or may be by same thieves under different alignment.

What a qualified and learned presentation of rulers. All liers & corrupt (not in the eyes of chosen ones) can loot this poor country and make fortunes and bring miseries to life of common man. Wht a independent country where such a filthy character are called on media!!! Why media is not exposing such chaps!!

Wht a independent country a killer can rule.. corrupt can rule.. wominizer can rule.. thieves can rule…defaulters can rule…liers can rule

only a noble person cant rule!!!!

May Allah bless the common folk…

For a moment I thought I was watching a stage show from Alhamra, an eid special. And I laughed, in all honesty. If you hear closely Aitezaz Ahsan also seemed to b smiling..not because it was funny but because he couldn’t believe he was on air with this “law minister.”
