My guess would’ve been Kitas Raj but I am clearly off.

Well here is the answer for all of you. As rightly guessed by Mariya, Imran and Meenu, it is indeed Jain Temple located in Nagarparker or Nangarparkar (also called Rinn of Kacch) in Thar Desert Pakistan.

A famous city in Sindh, Nagarparkar has many historical sites such as Karoonjhar (mainly dry hilly area), Bodhesar mosque and many Jain temples. The temple in the photograph is one of the Gorhi or Gorri temple belonging to heritage of Jainism and Hiduism. Currently, it is in very bad condition and if the conversation work doesn’t begin any time soon, the time is not far when we will only find it in history books or photographs.

These temples are supposed to have been constructed between 1375 and 1449 AD by Jain Rajas. There are miniatures, paintings and script carvings on the stone walls of temples and many of them are tattered and unable to be recognized. Unfortunately, you also find Zeeshan loves Tina and similar kind of writings on the historical walls of many of these temples and it seems departments of archeology of Sindh has left them on the mercy of nature.

The photograph above has been originally taken by Abro , a brilliant photographer who is often featured here at ATP. The original photograph can be seen here

I ‘ll try to write a detailed post on these temples soon but for the time being, more information can be found here, here, here and here.

It could be somewhere in Rahimyarkhan or Rajan Pur. I have seen similar temples there too. Sorry but this is very difficult quiz. Am I correct?
