Earlier we had done a post on Javed Miandad’s memorable sixer off the very last ball of the match against India at Sharjah in 1986, which clinched the game for Pakistan. We had also included a video of that last over in the post.
During the discussion, a number of comments recalled how Javed Miandad was literally showered with money and gifts as a result of this feat, how Tauseef Ahmad (who was his last partner on the crease) got little or nothing and a policeman’s baton to boot, and also how an equally famous comic song on the incident was sung by Bushra Ansari.
Well, we did manage to find the song for you. Enjoy!

nice i juss saw this song after a long time like 3-4 days back an was shocked to see it as a post:) “a thing of beauty is a joy for ever” an this is really a beaty.
Theres another song that Bushra sung “Kalu Dewanay teri bowling najane” (Nazia Hasan’s Disco Dewanay Parody) after Pak vs WI series in 87 in which Qasim Umar had to gtet 5-8 odd stiches after hit by Malcom Marshal.I am not abke to find it but if u can its another great song i dun remmeber who sung it but i guess it was bushra ansari!
ne way great post to remember the famous “chaka”
haha.. thanks so much for sharing this. Bushra insari will always be a goddess of comedy. Even though it was a 5 min sketch you can see that she had put in a lot of effort studying Noor Jahan and copies her hand movements, eye expressions and mannerisms down to perfection.
I am getting quite fond of this website. Keep it up guys :)
How can i start participating?
My favorite lines are:
… Tauseef be-charay ko Dirham aath milaiN gay
and
… ArbouN say bhi uss nay wahaN ik car uRRa li
By the way, as you listen to it you actually realize that its ddecent poetry unto itself ;-)
iss chukay se javed ne hai jitna kamaya
kehtay hein ke sharma ko bhi do laakh milei’nge
doesn’t get any better than this:):) so far ahead of its time.. ;)
