Few days back I spotted this picture in DAWN, taken in a family park of Lahore.
I had to look closer to get an idea of merriness in the Merry Go Ride. Clinging at a good 180 degree the risk is just too evident.
Considering the usual state of maintenance at such parks, I personally won’t opt for riding one. Would you?

Whoa! Ok my first thought was, for some reason, dead people hanging upside down.
Now after that thought I can’t imagine this being fun or safe.
Don’t people get dizzy after being upside down for a few seconds? Looks torturous.

You know what, for a second, when I first saw it, I thought the girls were hanging upside down from their toes!! :-D
Looks like fun to me! Apparently, the twenty or so girls seem to have thought so too.
Personally, I wouldn’t ride such a contraption even if my safety was 100% assured. However, with contaminated water and rampant malnutrition leaving more than 50% stunted, I think our children have bigger issues. to worry about.
