Missing Moti

An interesting thing happened during the Fortune Cup one-day series of Pakistan and West Indies in Abu Dhabi.  After completing his century, Younis Khan in a rare celebration, took his gloves off, took a note out of his pocket, and showed it to the cameras.

It read: “Moti, I miss you“.

I missed this show live but later when I saw the picture blogged, I pity him from his wife’s wrath (If she is who he meant the note for).  Though Gulf News thinks Moti is the former fielding coach.

Humor in Field, innit?

This type of act is very common in football. After making a goal or after the match, some players pull up their shirt and something is written on their T-shirt / vest. But we have rarely seen this in cricket. I remember, Younis Khan was doing push-ups after reaching 100 in Karachi one day, playing against India. Possibly that was his tribute to David Dwyer, Pakistan’s trainer, who pushes him hard in training.

if he was facusing her wiife then….
he doesn’t need to mention “Minjanib, younis KHAN” :D

What if it was for his wife, but here name is NOT “Moti” (as in Pearl) but he is calling her a “Moti” (fat) … but out of affection!

Then, he would REALLY be in trouble.

    JUST JOKING :-)
