This photo is from Lahore – taken on March 17, 2010. You can probably search and find this photo on the web but ‘baat to jab hai’ that you try to guess (or tell) what is this guy doing? If ‘what’ is very easy for you to guess then take the next shot on ‘Why’ is he doing ‘what’ he is doing. Answer is now given below.
ANSWER:
The quiz photo is a cropped version of following complete photo. It shows a polythelene recycling factory in Lahore. What this guy is doing here is to spread out polythelene sheets to dry them out in the sun. I am not familiar with the processes involved in polythelene recycling, but all of our friends who guess ‘plastics’ in their comments below were correct.

I would have said the guy is in a stream or river, but I don’t think around Lahore there are any waterways that would create rapids like this. And his clothes don’t seem wet.
So, my guess would be plastics too.

You do realize that the google ads shown on websites are different for different people. That is, you are served different ads from me and different from someone else. These ads are based on where you are located (so people in Pakistan will see different ads on this site than people in UK, etc.) and also on what other sites you have been visiting recently. Google tracks that and then serves you ads based on where you have been and what that says about your preferences.
So, if you are seeing weird ads, maybe it is because you have been visiting too many weird sites :-)
Everybody is saying plastic bags but I saw something similar sometime back in the metropolitan pages of The News Islamabad/Rawalpindi edition.
That picture was an image of a guy blowing goat intestines and stomachs (boiled and cleaned) for use in sausages. The stuff was being exported.
So just for the heck of it, I’ll go with animal stomach/intestines
