Once again it is the season of silly-talk in Pakistan. There are rumors. There is chatter. There are theories. And there is endless discussion. Supposedly ‘change’ is in the offing. But, then, change is always in the offing in Pakistan. If, indeed, change is coming, what would you prefer? What would you like to see happening?
Everyone seems convinced that some political change is coming. Politicians seem to be taking the talk seriously. And the media is having a field day concocting conspiracies spun around so-called ‘andar ki baat‘. Everyone seems to have a theory. If you have one, please let us know. But, before that, please vote in our poll and tell us what you would LIKE TO SEE happening (not, what you think will happen; but what you would like to happen)!

Real change will never be possible until someone from outside the major parties (PPP, PML-N, PML-A-Z, MQM, ANP) gets a chance at governing. Maybe the competitive threat will be the impetus for these parties to get their act together and select genuine leaders.
The present parliament should definitely be allowed to complete its term. If there are some sane heads left in the PPP, they will replace the Prime Minister, President, cabinet, and perhaps that will help the party survive the next election. As it stands, however, the PPP is on a self-destructive path.
No change!! Please don’t give PPP another chance to declare itself shaheed-e-jamhoriat. Let them complete it, that’s their last ever term
Thank GOD only 7% of your readers think the Military should take over. I was afraid it’d be the majority.
Devastated by floods and ravaged by terrorism and economic crises, this country needs a rid of leg pulling, conspiracies and sycophants we have been witnessing not merely for the last three years but the last 63 years. Politics is one thing we cannot afford to have right now. So a man who is more focused on rebuilding the country and carrying out tough reforms is the Zardari and he is the need of the hour. The truth is that we can live with this democracy that is badly opposed by the opportunists but we cannot live with a dictatorship backed by these opportunists. Perhaps the problems is not the propaganda against Zardari but it is propaganda against a democratic head of a party and a symbol of federation who was mandated by millions of people. I am sure these few sycophants yelping for change can not be representative of people because these are the same elements rejected by masses on February 18th elections. We must sort out them who are these sycophants that want mess and chaos.
It’s time that Kayani pulled a Kakar and dismissed the President and the PM; get the Supreme Court to declare a state of emergency (just look at the floods!) and put in a caretaker government of competent technocrats for two years.
