Saw this picture in Daily Times and actually laughed out loud. How much more Pakistani could a bakra be, than riding on a rickshaw with its head sticking out.
Not sure what the title of the picture should be. Maybe you can help.

While All Things Pakistan has remained alive and online, it has been dormant since June 11, 2011 - when, on the blog's 5th anniversary, we decided that it was time to move on. We have been heartened by your messages and the fact that a steady traffic has continued to enjoy the archived content on ATP. While the blog itself will remain dormant, we are now beginning to add occasional (but infrequent) new material by the original authors of the blog, mostly to archive what they may now publish elsewhere. We will also be updating older posts to make sure that new readers who stumble onto this site still find it useful.

An activist friend from Islamabad forwarded to me a letter to the editor that I fully agree with. I am copying the letter for ATP readers – think about it:-
By the end of the third day of Eid, Rs. 50,000,000,000 would have gone down the drain – literally.
In a nation of 170 million, roughly 10 million animals shall be slaughtered this Eid. That is 1 animal for every 17 people. At Rs. 5000 each, Pakistanis alone will spend an estimated Rs. 50,000,000,000 on sacrificial animals. Before you set your foot out to buy sacrificial animals, please consider the following.
In Pakistan, 48 million people struggle daily on US$2.00 or less. Half the population is illiterate. An estimated nine million children do not attend school. Nine out of 100 children die before they reach their first birthday. more than a third of children under five are underweight. A shocking 30-35 women die everyday from pregnancy related complications.
Pakistan recently borrowed from IMF yet again, not to resolve any of the above, but to avoid default. I wonder if God would be looking down and smiling at us, Pakistanis, as we put knives to the throats of animals of all sorts on Eid day.

Title is ” Bakratu-ul-Rickshaw ” or “Bakra Bin Rickshaw Laden”
