The game – the only game – that everyone in India and Pakistan were waiting for is now set. Pakistan meets India in the Semi-Final on Wednesday, March 30, at Mohali in Chandigarh, India. Either India or Pakistan WILL make it to the Final. Which one?
We know which one we want to get to the Final, but which one do you think will? Maybe the poll has lost meaning by now, but since we have been asking this question from the beginning of the World Cup (#1, #2, #3) lets keep going. What do you think happens to Pakistan from here onwards:
The progression of ATP opinion has been interesting, but not surprising: In our very first poll (816 responses) as many as 45% had thought Pakistan would not even reach the Semi-Finals, and 26% had thought Pakistan would become World Champion; In our second poll (821 responses) with this same question, only 13% thought Pakistan would be out before the Semi-Finals, and 49% thought Pakistan would become World Champion; In our third and most recent poll (1155 responses) on the subject, 11% felt Pakistan would not even make it to the Semi-Finals and as many as 60% thought Pakistan would become World Champion.
What do you think now. India vs. Pakistan, and maybe beyond. Where does Pakistan go in this Cricket World Cup 2011 from here?

HaroOn,
You obviously have no idea about India or the crowds that come to watch cricket. I will let the experience of that day speak for itself. But who can forget the scene of the Pakistani team in 1999 getting a standing ovation in Chennai as it took a victory lap after defeating the Indian team in its first tour in over 10 years? I must also mention the Indian tour of Pakistan in 2004, where they were welcomed by Pakistani fans wherever they went.
Let these prejudices aside and enjoy the game for the pleasure it provides. And for how it unites us in our love for the game.
Beating India in India is not going to be easy. And if we did I would worry for the team because of the hatred and xenophobia of the Indian crowd spurred by the BJP thugs.
If I were a Pakistan player, I would be so worried and afriad of violence and hooliganism than would just make my game worse.
I am not spamming but i think this comments belongs over heree
So here is a nice, brown, spicy and juicy conspiracy theory like my name…ymmmmm……Indian government is going through a lot of scandals….A small bird has told me that millions of dollars has been invested for this semi final to happen and eventually India winning the semi final and the world cup to take the peoples’ focus away from these scandals….so keep your fingers crossed, follow the money trail and be rich.
pakistan win world cup 2011 inshallah
India obviously are farvourites to win this one… this may play in the favour of Pakistan. In an ODI, you can never tell. Anybody’s game.
