Not the best rendition of Waris Shah’s Heer that I have ever heard. But one of the most captivating nonetheless!
The singer is one, Anita Lerche, from Denmark, who has found a niche market in singing Punjabi songs – mostly for Punjabi Indian audiences – in her Danish accent.
I suspect Punjabi Pakistani audiences will also find her entertaining for the same novelty value.
@razia, why must we take extremist positions on everything?
yes, she is amusing, but is this floozy more worthy of space on this blog and going gaga over than an inspiring young pakistani woman making a real difference in the lives of inhabitants of a ghetto of pakistan??
@Monano: Very well said

She does not sing well, but she does understand demographics and her market. Not a bad niche to have :-)
