Asian Broadcasting Network (ABN) is a non-profit organization serving the south Asian community in Chicago area since 1997. Two weeks ago they celebrated their 10th anniversary of community service and that has prompted us to write this post to introduce them to our readership. Their radio service is not limited to Chicago as they can also be heard worldwide on the web at: www.abnchicago.org

ABN’s radio service is hosted by a team of very enthusiastic boradcasters which comprises of a good mix of youth as well as seasoned people.

Many of us go through times of leisure or bore dome where thoughts run free. One of my good friends actually penned down his thoughts in 2003. To date, this small innocent piece of writing remains one of my favorites. I simply love this writing because it is genuine. He didn’t write it with any pre-plot in mind. The good news is that politics – in the good sense of the term – is back in Pakistan. The bad news is that it is not clear where it is going.
Today we heard the news of the Supreme Court asserting its independence again by ordering the release of Javed Hashmi. I also want to share the results of our most recent ATP Poll – on the ‘new BB-Musharraf deal.’ I put it in inverted commas because there is much more speculation about this than fact.
