I was watching the dramatic developments regarding Chief Justice of Pakistan’s case on GEO news today and wondering how much more we have to see after seeing police misbehaving with Chief Justice and his family.
Little did I know what was in store for me. During Kamran Khan’s show, Ansaar Abassi - investigative editor of The News, Islamabad - brought viewers attention to a shocking incident which happened during a live Voice of America ( VOA ) radio show interview (Round Table) yesterday (Listen by clicking audio symbol below)

Not surprisingly, it involves our Law Minister, Mr. Wasi Zafar. We have often read various reports about public displays of misbehaviors by Federal Minister for Law Wasi Zafar. But this is quite unbelievable.
Listen to the abusive language after the 34th minutes in particular. But also listen to the tone of the discussion of the entire interview in general. This, then, is our Federal Law Minister in action. Its worth hearing.
The Federal Minister said all this in response to a story by the investigative editor The News in which he wrote about the Law Minister’s “long arm of law.” Apparently he doesn’t know the difference between long arm and giving “a big hand.”

oh c’mon. wasi zafar has now apologized so leave him alone. although it seems that someone has ordered him to do that :P. his face was telling thousand stories.
Mushy is also trying to distance himself from the CJ reference and saying that he was not behind anything, he just forwarded the reference which was sent by govt. Is he not the govt???
Geo news office was attacked today…Ansar Abassi sits there…..Police is under the law minister…..great!!! the horrible minister’s Revenge.

Interestingly …. a few minutes back a clipping of wasi Zafar was shown in which he condemned the attacks and personally said sorry to ansar abbasi on his words and behaviour and offered him to come have tea and we are like friends …. WOW … poor him :>
I’ve heard this all and I found nothing wrong with law minister response. There was no single question for which he dont have answer. Aitzaz and all others were just politicising. No fact ut talk.
Sorry to say, there was not a single serious question from general public. People were not understanding that that was a talk show and they were suppose to ask questions. Not just to share their emotional feelings or to pass comments. Everyone has something to say.
As far as the misbehaving is concerned then I would say that our leaders are like us. People are taking it as “misbehaving” but the fact is that this is our culture. What do you expect from minister or person from higher authority from Pakistan? Law minister is true picture of what we are as culture.
People who saying misbehaving, I dont know which planet they live. You dont minbehave? I dont misbehave? No making it an issue that its misbehaving? Grow up guys.
If you had any real factual question against law minister then it was a issue but misbehaving is an issue? Grow up.
this is really sad. i find it shocking that mushy has still not sacked wasi zafar and he still represents Pakistani Law. Ansaar Abbasi was right, ‘kaise kaise maskhare hame rule kar rahe hein’
