Owais Mughal

Following photo appeared in Dawn of January 13, 2008. It shows yet another use of rickshaw. After a sudden drop in winter temperature, this guy bought a water heating geyser from Saddar, Karachi and is seen hauling it in the ever-versatile carrier of Pakistan, the rickshaw.

The Jet Rickshaw?

When I first saw the title photo of this post, it reminded me of an episode from ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ children series about a jet engine. That is why I decided to name our Rickshaw as a jet rickshaw in the title. When you see the following video, especially from timeline 1 min 45 sec onwards, you’ll see the resemblance and you will know what I am talking about.

At ATP we’ve had a special fascination for a Pakistani Rickshaw. Here are some related ATP posts on rickshaw:

2. Rickshaw as a moving billboard,
3. Rickshaw transporting another Rickshaw,

there can be so much done with the help of the good ole rickshaw. I remember there was this one time when I went with my mom and phoppi to buy a bakra for eid. We were 5 ppl in all (me, mom, phuppo, my brother and cousin). We brought the bakara in a rickshaw. Can you imagine that… 3 ppl along with that animal in back seat and 3 ppl in front (add the driver).

    hehe….

The water heater shown in the photo is natural gas fired. the size determines, how much volume of water it can heat.

what kind of water heater is this? we dont have anything like this in india. the electric water heater used here are much smaller, less than half in size. is it coal or wood fired? I am just curious

Pakistani’s can do anything if we put our mind to it. This is great news for the country. I hope this will solve the CNG shortage problem and propel the country to the next century!!!!!

After V1 and V2 missiles that Nazi germany created this is another landmark event in the history of mankind!!!

    hint : All Sarcasm!!!
