No, it is not Iraq. Yes, the blog is called ‘All Things Pakistan.’ Here is a hint: We have been talking about this place recently on ATP.

Three reasons why this place is a railway station in Bahawalpur.
1. First of all, the architecture of the building suggests it is a railway station.
2. As Roshan Malik pointed out there is a town in Bahawalpur known as Baghdadul Jadid. The rulers of Bahawalpur seem to have some connection with Baghadad of Harun al-Rashid and the Arabian Nights. They are Abbasis, probably realted to Abbasids of Baghdad. Therefore they named a town in their state as Baghadadul Jadid or New Baghdad.
3. If you try to read the sign, there is, on the left-hand side above the name of the station, written in English something like KM followed by a numerical figure followed by SMA. I guess KM is for kilometers and SMA stands for Samasatta, which is a junction and the next stop after Bahawalpur.
4. We have been talking of Bahawalpur and its buildings on this blog recently.
It’s all elementary, My dear Watson. isn’t it?
I only know that it should be somewhere in Pakistan as we are in ATP :-). (I had seen in Canada on the highway from ON to NS&NB a small bridge named Baghdad, but it wont help me to give the right answer of your question).
I think its a railway station near Bhawalpur
