BBC Urdu Shehr Kahani: Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya
04:46

Sufi had first introduced me to this BBC series through his wonderful post called Panni ka Bulbula and had also featured this video at Karachi Metroblog many months ago. Today, as I saw it again on YouTube I thought that even as we get all excited about the high political dramas of our times, the everyday struggles for survival like this deserve our attention… and our respect.

Thanks for sharing it. Very well made documentary. Great story of survival. It still shows that people won’t accept you as a female until you just go another way.

This was amazing. I did not get it till right the end and then it fell into place. Great courage. Made me feel good. An everyday hero.

It is great video as i saw it some months back. It really shows the resilience of a girl who tried to support her family in these hard circumstances. BBC Urdu has wonderful series of videos on its website http://www.bbc.co.uk/urdu/multimedia/ . I also like ‘Muhabat ka parchari’
