With all the talk of cricket and cricket stadiums for the World Bank, can you guess where in Pakistan was this ground. It is, of course, a historic etching. A gymkhana cricket ground from years gone by. Can you guess where?

This is the cricket ground called Rawalpindi Club which used to host international cricket matches before the construction of Rawalpindi cricket stadium. Located on Mall Road Rawalpindi, it is next to the Army stadium and GHQ.
Canopies and retractable awnings are too diplomatic and sophisticated just to protect your pale skin from sun and rain.
Best part of watching a cricket match when a water ball and keenoos (Tangerines) thrown from behind and smack at you and a fight breaks out ever five minutes.
Too bad it is not a Karachi Stadium.
Although a well kept stadium, good job but I got no clue!
By the way Quetta is surrounded on all sides by mountains therefore no landscape photo is possible there without a mountain in the background – hence my doubt on Quetta. UNLESS again the dark brown background of the enclosure to the right is a mountain ..? it could be.
Adil bhai.. is dafa dhoondh ke laaye hain photo aap :)
I still have no clue.
@Sajid. the confidence you’ve shown in calling this photo Quetta – has made me think it might indeed be Quetta :) My doubt on pre-EQ (1935) Quetta is the availability of colored photography technology then. I don’t think colored photos were available then UNLESS the colors have been added to this photo later which would definitely make it a strong contender to be a cricket ground in Quetta.
