(1) Rustam-e-Pakistan dangal reaches Finals Stage

Mr. Basheer Bhola Bhala has qualified for the Finals of Rustam-e-Pakistan dangal after knocking out Mr. Azhar Lurhka within 10 minutes in the Semi Finals

Following is a photo of Rustam-e-Pakistan dangal procession (July 25, 2008), where wrestlers along with their teachers are passing through the city streets. Will our knowledgable readers confirm if they recognize Bashir bhola bhala or Azam Lurhka in this photo? The guy in pink turban looks like Basheer but he doesn’t look bhola bhala (simpleton) so I am at a loss.

Prime Minister Pakistan GillaniFirst, let me by absolutely upfront and clear. I do not know if Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani is going to be replaced. That is the whole point, I do not know. But, I would very much like to know. Hence, the question mark at the end.

So, please, all rumor-mill mongers, lets not make this into anything more than it is. The rumors I am hearing are exactly the same one that you are hearing. What worries me is that I am hearing them more and more. If they are just rumors, what is the significance of their spreading so fast and furious now? And if they turn out to be more than just rumors, what would that mean for Pakistan?

There is something, of course, in the timing of all of this.

Shehzad Roy’s new album, Qismat Apnay Haath MeiN, and especially its lead song Laga Rehe has stirred up quite a storm. As it should.

Shehzad Roy, Qismat Kismat Apnay Haath Mein, Laga Rahe

Like all of Shehzad Roy’s music the tune is catchy and the beat is fast. But it is the political content and strong words that are catching attention. And a lot of attention.

Its worth a listen and worth thinking about.
