The photo, by Farhan Khan, shows sacrificial animals being brought to a market in Latifabad, Hyderabad for upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
I do have a question: Why would one name an ox or a cow as kabootar (pigeon)?

-looks like Salvador Dali was inspired at least to some extent by the pakistani cows…..
Perhaps his namer has seen him leap around more often. Another possibility is it has been named so due to its white colour. I dont think there is any reference to kabootar for its effecient mail delivery. The image is superb.
Kabootar……. because…see how it can fly like a kabootar!
If I were the cow, I woudl also run for my life

It’s 2009 and livestock transporters still haven’t figured out using a ramp avoids possible injury to the already scared animals. Maybe the poor animal will be happier and better looked after where she’s destined to go.
Love this image!
Great find, Owais!
I guess another apt headline, given teh context might have been “Holy Cow!” :-)
