Owais Mughal

A friend who was recently on a tourism trip of Pakistan sent me this photograph of a billboard from Abbotabad. Click on the photo to see the enlarged image.

The text in Urdu approximately reads as: In case of theft, burglary, murder, kidnapping – immediately contact (the) Detective Dogs (company).

    @ Faraz

Yes, it’s nothing unique, rather this is strange. The strangest part being that every private company is now also being runned by the Army.

Aren’t private detectives common around the world? So this is not anything unique to Pakistan.

Taftishi sagaan! wah. Glad to see the hoarding, especially because it is in Urdu.

Sharukh, we do have emergency services in Pakistan.

Earlier we used to have Khojis who used to follow the footprint of the burglar or murderer. Since most of the roads are mettled their role has been overtaken by the sniffers.
Most of these services are provided by my ex-military personnels these days.
