Owais Mughal

A friend who was recently on a tourism trip of Pakistan sent me this photograph of a billboard from Abbotabad. Click on the photo to see the enlarged image.

The text in Urdu approximately reads as: In case of theft, burglary, murder, kidnapping – immediately contact (the) Detective Dogs (company).

  1. I see that the sentence can be further manipulated to mean something else too :) but i’ll keep my imagination restricted :)

Can anyone tell me why my comment was deleted? I did not see anything offensive in it…..

Are these dogs capable of finding the lost pride and unity of a nation? If so, then I have a great client for them :-)

What attracted me to this photo is the trend of using private entities for security, law enforcement etc. This work should ideally be left to govt owned police b/c govt should be the guardian of a citizen’s life and property. but looks like our police is ill-equipped as we have pointed it out here and here, as well as people don’t trust them. Police is also being used for political purposes, which keeps them away from crime investigation. Thus these private security businesses are flourishing.

hamare watan se corruption mitana should be the first priority. Yeh kitne sharam ki baat hai ki hamare watan me law enforcement pe bharosa nahi rakh sakte.
