Adil Najam

This photograph from the Swat region needs little commentary, but deserves much thought.

The caption from Associated Press (photograph by Sherin Zada), reads in part:

A youngster sits beside his belongings as he waits for his parents to cross a river as they flee from a troubled area in Imam Dheri near Mingora, the main town of Pakistan’s Swat Valley, Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009.

One wonders what is going through the child’s head. With the Taliban after his body and soul, with civilian casualties in the military operation in Swat mounting, with American drone attacks in the tribal belt further away, and with a polity in chaos in the rest of the country, it is not as if he has too many options to fall back on. He seems to be looking pensively (possibly across the river); but to what?

Classof71, how are they open to negotiations when they have made it a point to target the ANP which made the blunder of releasing the TSNM leader last April and offering negotiations? Their idea of negotiations and ceasefires is that the government should stop its operations and withdraw, while they keep on arming themselves… there comes a time when enough is, finally, enough… that time is here now, and it is time these people met their end…

So Pakistani123, Baitullah Mehsud is a “CIA agent” now? A few weeks back someone said he was a “RAW agent”… is he a freelance mercenary or do the CIA and RAW work in tandem? Why the glaring lack of any mention of Mossad and MI6? They are probably hurt at missing out on a man of such prodigious talents…

In all seriousness, however, I am appalled that there are some amongst us who are still insisting that Taliban atrocities are either plots to malign them or go against the grain of these people or are the acts of rogue offshoots…

Please, wake up, get your heads out of the sand, and smell the coffee…

It is important to defeat the Taliban and establish the writ of the government and then preserve the innocent culture of Swat and immediately re-establish these unfortunate people in their homeland, the government has moved too slow in this regard. They are just a bunch of barbarians holding the whole nation hostage. We do not need the likes of the illiterate Taliban to impose their wrong interpretation of Islam.

Everyone knows that Baitullah Mehsood is a CIA agent. After all what was Mehsood, a harmless young man until he was taken by the Americans to Gitmo Bay. There they brain-washed him and returned him to Pakistan. When Mehsood returned to Pakistan from Gitmo, he had the looks of the ultimate Cuban revolutionary complete with the Che Guevara hair-style.

America’s favourite dictator Syed Pervert Musharraf accepted him back into Pakistan as easily as he had let him go to Gitmo. The first act of terrorism against Pakistan Mehsood committed was the abduction and murder of Chinese engineers . America obviously did not want a Chinese naval presence in the Arabian sea and this is what Mehsood was used to do: to travel all the way to commit this crime.

When asked by the Western media about this ( amazing how they can locate him ) Mehsood claimed from an undisclosed location that China was Islam’s biggest enemy. Nobody but a loony brain-washed Zionist slave would claim that China instead of the Anglo-Zionist axis was the biggest enemy of Islam ( a bit like the nephew of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia whom the Americans brain-washed into murdering his pious uncle in 1975).

The only problem is that if all of us know this, and I am hoping ISI reads Adil’s web-site, why cannot ISI simply snuff Mehsood and all other American moles out ? Are they too busy helping the war on terror? Or are they waiting for the breakup of the country?

To Jam Shahid Advocate’s comment and to everyone else too:

GET THE IDEA THAT THE TALIBAN IN BEHIND THIS OUT OF YOUR HEAD. This is the freakin’ CIA doing stuff like destroying girl’s schools. It has been PROVEN by the ISI that Beitullah Mehsood is a CIA agent. This is NOT the Taliban that it operating against the US in Afghanistan, this is like an off-shoot of that which has been brought under CIA to do thier bidding.
