Reportedly Hollywood super-celebrity and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Angeline Jolie is so impressed with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani’s “good looks” that she things he should pursue an acting career in Hollywood!

According to the same reports, Angelina Jolie thinks Mr. Gillani is doing an “even better job as Prime Minister! (I guess we now know how she would would in our ATP Poll).

Prime Minister Gillani’s reaction to these statements (which were conveyed to him by US Special Enjoy Richard Holbrooke) to to say that he preferred serving the people of Pakistan to a Hollywood career!

There are so many interesting places that one could take those two statements. But let me not be the one to take them anywhere.

I am just thankful to have something to smile about this weekend. Even if it is the silly banter of light-hearted niceties between Ms. Jolie ( who continues to charm Pakistanis with her humanity) and Mr. Gillani (who had earlier met Angeline Jolie who was visiting Pakistan and had gifted her a copy of the Quran).

What does she mean Mr Gillani should pursue acting career??

What does she think Mr Gillani, President Zardari ,Nawaz Sharif & other respectable statesmen of Pakistan are doing?

Of course they are acting in the roles provided to them in this parody of democracy that has been well drfated in Washington & London.

Rather than asking Mr Gillani to pursue acting in U.S she should consider acting in this Greatest show on Earth!!!

i am very touched with the efforts of Ms. Jolie, she had come to Pakistan earlier as well and her efforts are sincere in contrast to other people who give an excuse of security concerns for not coming to Pakistan….she really is an ambassador of humanity….

Nice pictures. Gilani certainly dresses well, and appears quite the dignified gentleman from afar.

Unfortunately, the minute he opens his mouth one realizes that there is not much going on in that brain of his; or if there is, it does not mean anything because he operates in his own little world, and has little to no authority.

As far as his prospective acting career is concerned, he might be a good candidate for a Pinocchio remake (puppet…).

Angelina Jolie Not Happy With Her Visit to Pakistan
    By Zeenat Rehman • Sep 26th, 2010

The philanthropist, soft-hearted world’s number one female actress, Angelina Julie is not at all happy with her visit to Pakistan to see the flood victims. She came here, held the hands of the victims, made donations, stood up with the miseries of the people, denied any photo sessions, met with the aid agencies, but then she talks about the darker side of the things.

She is not happy with the attitude of the authorities and the government, who were more interested in toeing her line, watching her make movements, trying to please her while pushing the flood victims. She was also perturbed at the Prime Minister’s wish that his family wanted to meet him. Prime Minster’s family was especially flown down all the way from Multan to Islamabad and they presented expensive gifts to Jolie and had a sumptuous meal with her.

She said that she was feeling awful at that time to see so much food at the table, suffice for hundreds of flood victims who were fighting like crazy to get a small bag of flour and a small bottle of water. She was ill at ease when she saw the interior of lavish Premier house and some of the government buildings and the chartered planes and other such luxuries, when there was so much misery outside.

In her report to the United Nations, she has recommended UN to ask Pakistani government to first cut down on their expenses and to first cut down their luxuries before asking the aid from the world.

    How true she is.
