Adil Najam
Saw this picture in Daily Times and actually laughed out loud. How much more Pakistani could a bakra be, than riding on a rickshaw with its head sticking out.
Not sure what the title of the picture should be. Maybe you can help.
Note: Original posted in December 2006.

Circulation of money is critical to the economy of a country.
>>By the end of the third day of Eid, Rs. 50,000,000,000 >>would have gone down the drain – literally.
In this case money is only changing hand, usually from rich to poor who raised the animal. I am not an economist but i think it is very good for the ecomony.
To DL and other wanna be vegetarians:
Don’t forget that Qurbani is an act of sacrifice to commemorate Prophet Abrahim’s unquestioned submission to Allah (SWT). Do not try to make unlawful that Allah has sanctioned as halal. Qurbani meat is to be shared with your relatives and the poor. For most underprivileged folks this is a rare occasion to consume some much needed protein.
By the same token Allah has ordained us to seek the path of moderation in all acts of life. So be moderate in your meat intake, while including fresh produce and whole grains in your diet.
