The game – the only game – that everyone in India and Pakistan were waiting for is now set. Pakistan meets India in the Semi-Final on Wednesday, March 30, at Mohali in Chandigarh, India. Either India or Pakistan WILL make it to the Final. Which one?
We know which one we want to get to the Final, but which one do you think will? Maybe the poll has lost meaning by now, but since we have been asking this question from the beginning of the World Cup (#1, #2, #3) lets keep going. What do you think happens to Pakistan from here onwards:
The progression of ATP opinion has been interesting, but not surprising: In our very first poll (816 responses) as many as 45% had thought Pakistan would not even reach the Semi-Finals, and 26% had thought Pakistan would become World Champion; In our second poll (821 responses) with this same question, only 13% thought Pakistan would be out before the Semi-Finals, and 49% thought Pakistan would become World Champion; In our third and most recent poll (1155 responses) on the subject, 11% felt Pakistan would not even make it to the Semi-Finals and as many as 60% thought Pakistan would become World Champion.
What do you think now. India vs. Pakistan, and maybe beyond. Where does Pakistan go in this Cricket World Cup 2011 from here?

I am pained to see that the cricket which was once a beautiful sport has got degenerated by professionalism and corruption. The coming match between India and Pakistan has now given it a new dimension by introducing extreme obscurantism and jingoism into cricket. It appears as though it is not a cricket match but a war between Pakistan and India. Not only this, in the chanting of religious mantras on our media, it appears as though it is going to be a match between Allah of Pakistan and Bhagwan of India. In my view it is the blasphemy both of the religion and the beautiful cricket culture which has no longer remained a sport but has become a jingoistic religious war and a den of corrupt ‘juaa-baazi’ and ‘sattai-baazi’ so far as the Sub-continent is concerned.
Playing India in India is not going to be easy. The real contest may be with the idea of playing India in India and the Indian crowd. The good news is that the key players on Pakistan side have been all playing well. Its just that there is now no room for a mistake by any of them.
As long as the trio of Akmal brothers and Coach Waqar Younis is there it is difficult to predict.I just do not trust them.If they can opt to lose to NZ to get rid of Shoaib they can go to any extent. They can prove their ‘innocense’ only by winning. I do wish the Team a good day on 30 March. Please tell Mr Gillani not to travel to Mohali for Team’s sake.
either way zaid hamid will have his cake and eat it too. if pak wins, it will be the beginning of ghazwa-e hind; if they lose it will be the grand american, yahood & hanood conspiracy …
i thinks pakistan win the world cup so plz people pray for pakistani team and enjoy it mastiforums.com
