Adil Najam

Back in September 2006 we had asked our readers to grade the performance of Gen. Musharraf (he was graded B-/C+). In this latest installment of ATP Polls we would like to find out how you grade the performance of those holding key offices in Pakistan: President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Chief of Army Staff Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiani, and Opposition Leader Nawaf Sharif.

As someone who grades people for a living, let me just say that the purpose of this exercise is not to see whether you like these people or not, it is to see what how you think they have been performing in the offices they now hold. It is perfectly possible to not particularly like someone but come to the conclusion that they are doing a decent job in what they have been assigned to do, or vice versa. So, please, eventhough this is just a fun exercise, use your vote justly.

Do please also leave a comment and let us know what you think of their performance.

cut it out guys! why don’t u ppl think objectively?’mulaahas are bad’ …don’t u have any thng other to say. well, wat about other crime promoting agencies’; they’ve disappeared into background subtly using this talibaan terror and hatred for their self and ominous purposes. i dont invite u to take sides for this is not my business but i do implore u to stand for wat is right and fight real culprits. the slogans that are have so become a ‘fad’ today will disappear tomorrow but remember the things u have done will always stick with u so thnk and act judiciously for your own sake.

I am afraid Pakistan will continue on the path of no return till we Pakistanis recognize the real enemy from within. The mulaah!

The entire political/judiciary are currput and recently the Media outlets played horribly into the hands of the mullaah. The recent moulavi (Naeemi) killed in Lahore incubated and fomented hatred against others minorities in Pakistan, for example he was Mr. Chairman Tahfez-namous Resalat, while they lacked fundamental true teachings of Islam. Now, the monsters they incubated/created taught and let loose on Pakistan have come home to papa.

There is nothing Pakistan can do now expect fight them at all levels. Pray to Allah the Exalted and beg for forgiveness….shun branding others as Kafirs etc.

Otherwise prepare to become a massive Afghanistan. These dreaded mullaahs are at the root cause of everything as they spread like a cancer and ate away the fabric of society thus leaving us without the Barkats of Allah The Exalted.

This all hoopla is due to Army and they’re only responsible for it. Present leadership is doing whatever they can in these circumstances. As for Chief Justice, I don’t evn remember who is he and what he stands for besides his position? Nawaz Sharif can bring change in Punjab if he really wants to, he should stop believing in Mullah Jamati Islami and extremist faction in Pak Army.

I rated Zardari as excellent becasue he is the only one who has been making decsions..A tough politician making tough decisions in even tougher times. He has been intelligent enough to survive..both physically and politically.. keeping the party intact . His stance about taliban and militancy has been consistent and practical.
