On our recent trip to Boston, we saw this Pakistani jewellery set on display in a Museum there. Do you want to take a guess on how did this set reach Boston from Pakistan?

Hint: Think Presidential! By the way this jewellery set consists of gold, pearls and other gemstones.

I’ll share the name of the museum, and other details about this in a few of days.

My guess is, this might been temporarily donated by either Musharraf or Shaukat Aziz from their private collections that have been in the news recently.

I don’t think there is a problem. If it’s an antique it should be in a museum and if it’s in Boston museum and it says Pakistan then ppl would know word Pakistan doesn’t mean terrorism.
If it were in a Pakistani museum ppl would have replaced gem stones with fake ones. we should be happy that it’s in good hands.

Gardezi saheb. The word Boston is not a trick. This set is indeed on display in a Boston museum.

I do not know. But I suspect that the Boston in the headline is a trick to distract us.

But it is an impressive set and looks old.

My guess is that this was a gift given to John F. Kennedy when he was president of the US during his trip to Pakistan, maybe by Ayub Khan or some ruler of a princely state, and it is now on display at the JFK Library and Museum.

Prof. Adil najam thought it would be pretty tacky to wear something like this in parties.

The FIne Arts Museum in Boston has a big Islamic Art collection, maybe this is part of that?
