Considering the fact that players belonging to other teams also scored runs against us does’nt mean our records are of lesser value. After all Pakistan went through time of weakness when Windies and Aussies batsman scored against us like whirlwind.
Asif Iqbal was one of the finest batsman of his time, his inings with Javed aainst India was the most memorable, as for betting, he got carried away like Hanse Cronje of SA, one of the most decent cricketer….

Asif Iqbal – One of the pioneers of betting in world cricket through his involvement in Sharjah – The land of Betting

@Bilal Ahmed, I do agree with your main point__ that is, it matters where one scores those runs and against whom.
In this respect my all time favorite is Asif Iqbal. If we look at his stats. we find 11 test centuries. Out of those 11, 8 were scored out of Pakistan_ 3 against Australia 2 against England, 2 against New Zealand against West Indies. And the important point is he scored these 100

  4. Bilal Ahmed says:

Statistics don’t tell much. Most of his run are either at home ground or against countries like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe..

    Interesting facts:
    — 14 matches against Australia in Australia, NO century, average just 28..
    — 13 matches against Bangaldesh, 3 centuries, average 110..

But still he is better than the rest of his teammates. The rest should change their careers and try something else except Muhammad Asif.

the news from Karachi is so depressing that even cricket has become boring.
